WORLD FILM AWARDS™
WFA
The WORLD FILM AWARDS™ (WFA) is presented jointly by World Film Institute™ (WFI), a nonprofit organization supporting the advancement and recognition of the arts and the motion picture industry worldwide, and W1 Platform™ - the Hollywood Blockchain™, Hollywood's Innovating Global 4K Streaming Platform.
Co-Founded by Olympia A. Gellini, and Steven Nia, WFA will recognize the “Best of the Fests” films from the winners of various film festivals and markets, globally, and will provide a unique opportunity for the recognition of talented filmmakers and actors, across the world.
WFA will be live streamed globally on W1 Platform with ultra-high definition 4K quality, and will be the first film awards with a unique and innovative voting and selection process, which is based on blockchain infrastructure imbedded in W1 Platform™ - the Hollywood Blockchain™.
WFA’s voting system uses custom generated unique keys and QR codes to prevent the same vote from being casted or scanned more than once, allowing votes to be recorded in real time, with full transparency and traceability using the W1 Platform’s decentralized blockchain ledger.
Special screening privileges will also be available on W1 platform to the voting public during the pre-awards season. The W1 Platform strives to provide an equitable opportunity for all nominated films to be seen not only in theaters, but also on W1 Platform global streaming platform.
