The WORLD FILM INSTITUTE and its sponsors will tentatively produce a spectacular event, the WORLD FILM AWARDS, via a worldwide satellite broadcast, showcasing the ultimate achievements in motion picture arts. WORLD FILM AWARDS is the only event honoring excellence in filmmaking without regard to distribution, reputation or revenue. The WORLD FILM AWARDS is open to first place winners of major international film festivals for one final award-the "Best in the World'.
